Oh Yes I am Too!!!!

I just ordered 3 swimsuits, can you believe it? Me, Ms. Lard Butt, with 3 new suits!

I’m excited though, because I didn’t realize they made “swim shorts” to go with “tankini” tops. I hate hate hate the way I look in swimsuits. But I’ve resigned myself this vacation that I will take my kids in the pool, every day. I have bought them new suits, life jackets, kick boards, balls, all kinds of cool stuff. They also each have 3 new rash guards.

I’ve never been one to parade around in a suit, because truth be told, I so don’t have a smoking bod. Never have. But I decided this trip, I was going to take my kids in the pool so they will have fun. Then I thought, heck I’m a 44 year old mother of two…who’s going to care that I have legs like fence-posts??? Seriously dude…I am excited about it. I think it will be great for my knees, and it will keep us all tired and happy on this trip.

I want my kids to have fun, and I don’t want to be the kind of mom that doesn’t do stuff she doesn’t want to do, and then the kids miss out. I remember when I was a kid, you couldn’t keep me out of the pool. I think this is going to be a great time with me and the kids. I think we are going to have a blast. I’m ready.

Kids…5 suits each…………………...CHECK
Kids…3 rash guards each……………..CHECK
Me…..3 new swimsuit/short sets…….CHECK
Me….2 fence post legs………………CHECK

This may sound like a strange question, but...what is a rash guard?

I'm happy that you've found a swimsuit you like. I'm still looking.I've been looking for years.

Board shorts are great --- you can buy them online from Zappos.

Good for you!!! I had a swimsuit I like once and can no longer find that style--it was cute and fit me very well. Oh, well.

Enjoy that trip! When do you leave?

The shorts rock! I wore men's board shorts when I went to Hawaii and women's bathing suit shorts on my last vacation. Loved them. Except the men's board shorts were really hard to pull down when they got wet so bathroom breaks were a challange.
