My Response to "Kim" (Yes that is her real name)

Just in case y'all were curious, this is the response I sent to Kim last night....wanna take bets on if she emails me back? This could be quite entertaining.

Dean (to use your own greeting) Kim,

I simply must email you again to respond to the terribly hateful email that you sent to me today.

First of all, I didn't email you on purpose; I must have accidentally hit the "reply to all" button on my email last night. I am not perfect like you, but that is fine, there is nothing wrong with imperfection.

Whatever. I am sorry about my mistake, because it brought me into contact with you.

Secondly, I will email whomever I feel like emailing. You have no right to tell me who I may or may not email.

You assume way too much Kim. My assumption of you is that you are ignorant and uneducated. Your use of the English language is dreadful. Your writing skills are that of a ten-year old.

For the record, I was not emailing people whom I do not know to voice my opinion.

I have known Elaine since high school, which is now nearly 30 years. I know her very well, and she knows me very well.

What I consider rude is your email. You have a right to your opinions, just as I have a right to mine. I dare say Kim, that Elaine is perfectly well aware of my opinions. We have argued this for the entire length of our friendship, and despite it, have remained good friends.

The rhetoric you spout is insufferable. You may or may not be a Christian, I really don't care. Being Christian is not a requirement for being either an American citizen or even President. I do not see where bringing up the book of Revelation is an appropriate topic in the email you sent to me. I didn't ask you what your religion was, nor do I care.

You speak of showing respect for the "flag." I am going to assume that you mean the American troops and America itself.

Barack Obama spent much of his time on his recent trip to Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq greeting and thanking those very troops. Barack Obama is a Christian. Not that it matters because after all, one of the cornerstones of this country is "freedom of religion".

The plane he travels on, has an American Flag emblem in just about the same place as does John McCain's plane. Additionally, his entire website is done in red white and blue. How dare you say he is unpatriotic?

I will not go into how I feel about John McCain or the current administration. I will fight the good fight to get the best man elected in this next Presidential Election (note, your email said "President election", the proper term is "Presidential Election."

I do enjoy my freedom of speech, just as you seem to. I understand the sacrifices that have been made to ensure the very values we as Americans hold dear. I have taken American History, I watch the news, I read, I form my own opinions.

I'd like to know who you think you are by saying to me, and I quote, "YOU SHOULDN'T FEEL AT WILL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE FREEDOMS IF YOU DO NOT APPRECIATE THE PRICE THAT WAS PAID TO GIVE YOU THOSE FREEDOMS." (Are you aware typing in all caps is akin to yelling?)

You know nothing about me. I am an American, born in this country just as you were.

My father was a service man in the Korean War, as well as being a teacher; my mother worked for civil service her entire career. I know people who have been killed in this war, and other wars.

I even work for the government, do you work Kim?

I want our troop's home safely, not over there fighting a war that is based purely on making corrupt republican politicians rich.

I respect with great intensity the sacrifice that has been made now and in the past to ensure I have this freedom.

I do not respect people that follow blindly like stupid dogs. You obviously have no idea of what really goes on in this country or in this world. You believe what you are told. You are the worst sort of threat to America. Ignorant, blind, racist and stupid.

I may have to post this on my blog, since I find it comical and funny at how blindly some people believe what they are told.

So, Kim, please do not email me again. I do not care to hear from you. I'm sick and tired of hearing stupid propaganda about this election. I will reply to "all" from now on to "voice" my opinions if I am sent something I deem objectionable. What a wonderful idea, thank you so much for giving it to me.

Sincerely,

Old Crone

  3. Thanks Tina...

Kitty Litter, you are right, she is not as smart as a dog..I love dogs, don't get me wrong at all, I was on the soap box last night, and having a bit of fun. But serisously, a dog is much smarter than that woman.

After watching the convention last night, I'm ready to fight.
