It's Been A Long Time Coming...

I've been sitting here on my bed tonight, thinking about the last week. About how this time last week, I was on pins and needles and tonight, I sit here with a peace I haven't felt in years, if ever.

I keep pinching myself, telling myself we really did win this election.

It was a long, hard fight. I have never been more proud to be an American. Our history will be forever changed, and I am so glad. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get up and start working. Now that we have one, we have much work to do.

I'm nervous about what the future holds for us, but I'm not scared like I was. My hope has been restored.

For posterity, I am posting Barack Obama's speech from November 4th, 2008 on my blog. I want this on my blog. I'm proud to put it on my blog.
