Arrrrgh!!!!!

I got this email from my friend Elaine today.

I emailed her back in a semi-sarcastic tone and asked her if she "really planned on voting for that "clown" McCain?"


I received this reply....

"Well this country is in a SHITLOAD of trouble if Obama gets in......its slim pickins'"

This is one of of the friends I've had since high school. She and I have never ever agreed politically. She is the same friend that is terribly racist and used to delight in sending me email jokes about children of color.

I would go off on her then, and honestly I don't know why I still tolerate it. The only reason I can see is that I've known her so long and I do love her, but I don't like her very much.

This is a woman who is not educated, is terribly racist, is a sex addict, an alcoholic, and who knows what else. If I'm around her for more than 2 days, I want to pull my hair out. She is lost in the fact that she used to be very attractive when she was young and could get any guy she wanted. Now she resembles a very heavy Peggy Bundy. I'm being mean. I feel mean right now though. How dare she say that if Barrack Obama were to become President, that this country is going to go to "shit."

I mean, my god....it was her pick that has turned this country to "shit."

It continues to amaze me, that people like her cannot see what is going on. Are they really that stupid, dense, what ever? I mean she doesn't even research her opinion, she assumes, what ever is right wing, is her wing. She is the worst sort of threat to America as far as I can see it. An uneducated, ignorant vote for the wrong party.

I'm so angry right now I feel like spitting nails. She has no idea, or doesn't care about the injustices that go on all over this world because of the current administration. Does she care that there is an arms embargo in Darfur? Does she care that our troops go over and kill innocent people on a regular basis? She is the one that accuses me on a regular basis of "not supporting" the "troops." I'm so sick of hearing this I could choke.

I'll support our troops until the day I do. What I do not support is this war that is sending our troops overseas to become murders, rapists and pillagers. If that doesn't happen, they see so many horrific things that they come home with PTSD. The Bush Administration then says...Oh well...too fucking bad for you troops...better get a job so you don't lose your house.

I can't take it anymore. I am going to send her every freaking thing I can find on McCain. She won't read it I'm sure, but it will make me feel better.

I think the thing that pushes me over the edge, is she truly thinks she is better and smarter than everyone else.

No need to respond, I need a good vent today.
